We are Taru and Mikko Ruohonen living in an old family house area in the South-West of Finland. The town is called Kaarina and it is located next to the former Capital town of Finland - Turku. Our hobbies and nearly our lives are all amongs the dogs: agility, human search, dog-shows but also we both find photographing, nature and sailing quite interesting.

Our history with dogs begins from Taru's childhood home where there has nearly always been some traditional Finnish rabbit-hounds. As we were searching for an appropriate breed of our own the most important criteria were: midd size, somewhat healthy and active breed suitable for all the activities we had in our minds. Also we fancied the wooly hair... every housewife would agree about it's easyness we think! In the January 2000 we got our first Spanish Water Dog, Safa, who despite his dominating character has been a smasher-worker and totally fancied in our family.

During the first years we spent most of our freetime in gathering information about this marvellous breed from our firs breeder and other more experienced. A lot was taught and some of it was true aswell! In the summer 2003 we decided to travel to the roots of the breed to Andalucia. The visits to the kennels and all the information we had were most lightening! At last we entered the ranch of kennel- de Ubrique and as we left, we were three of us. Kipi decided to come home with us. Later during the next year Kipi had his kennel-mate Turkka coming home from Antonio GP.

As it was already anticipated, we started to have our own breeding ideas... Taru took the breeding course in year 2004 and the Kennel-name Nadador was confimed by FCI in the spring 2005. In the January 2005 we imported our first bitch Mona companied with a little bitch Pelu, from Ubrique. Mona had already been mated in Spain and after all the dodgy turns of the story we finally got to buy our first own puppy-bitch, Olka, from Mona's litter. After Mona in the spring 2005 we brought home the half ciblings of Olka (Rhonda & Rölli) and then in the Autumn came the Dutch ciblings Rasta & Charo. ... and the story continues.

...There has already been 'ups and downs' and we suppose it to continue with hopefully more ups. More than everything we are waiting for the future of the marvellous kennel-life all the experiences with the new families of our first litter "the flying perros"...
