Breeding SWD is a serious hobby for us. We don't take the matter lightly nore are we any professional breeders with kennel-houses and all the facilities. All our dogs live in the house with us or with their families and the puppies get to be well socialised, pre-trained and living amongst all the every-day routines here with us.
We aim to choose the best dogs for breeding. Shows are important but as important than the shows or even more are the health, open charachter and working abilities of the dogs. The minimum examinations for our own breeding dogs will be hips and elbows x-raid, as well as eyes and knees examined. The quality of the coat is perhaps also something to be preserved in this breed. The puppies born in Finland are never docked! Other criteria for our breeding will be found in the Finnish SWD-club's breeding scenario.
The puppies will be sold microchiped, vet-examined and also we try to have them tested for their characters with a proper puppy-test. The puppies will be handed to their new families not earlier than 7-8 weeks old and the choosing of the puppy will be made with the breeder in the age of 6-8 weeks, not earlier, according to the wishes the new owners might have for their new familymembers (a house dog, a working dog, a dog for shows etc. ...)
As breeders we wish to associate with and to give all the support needed for the new families. So, if buying a dog from us, you will certainly have a freebie of us. There's always some time to meet the puppies and have a nice chat in the phone or on the net or the time will be found if not just at the moment.
